We specialize in using simple designs to create unique effects that deliver big impact and require little to no maintenance.
Many of our props are customizable and we also offer custom build, design and consultation services.

Our work isn’t all about decoration or effect—it’s about controlling how guests move, react, and experience your attraction, while interacting with effects that shock and awe on an immersive level.

We were built from a passion for haunted attractions and immersive storytelling. We understand what works on the floor—not just on paper—because we design with operators, actors and set technicians in mind.

Our props & effects can be found in professional haunted houses all over the country, built to perform consistently in high-throughput, real-world environments, while also being easy to maintain and service, which is the true genius of our designs.

Our designs typically involve relatively simple mechanisms combined with premium parts that we've spent considerable time sourcing and testing. This means that there's less things that can break and no significant maintenance needed, even when they run for hours on end.

Witch Doctor Designs was born in 2019 out of a monstrous love of all things Halloween, a fascination with practical special effects and an opportunity to be great doing the one thing we know we were born to do. We are not just prop makers. We are haunters! We eat, sleep, and breathe haunted house business 24x7x365. It's this passion and experience that fuels our creations.​

CARL AUGUSTINE
Carl is the Founder and CEO of Witch Doctor Designs. He has worked in the Haunted Attraction industry for 18 years. He first began as an actor and later evolved into a prop maker, FX Engineer and actor trainer. Carl is proficient in pneumatics, electronics, welding, metal fabrication, sculpting, mold-making, materials casting, FX paint technique, FX makeup, costume fabrication and more. He is completely self-taught and driven by passion. Carl believes that integrity is the core of Witch Doctor Designs. "We deliver what we promise and we don't promise what we can't deliver."
